hello im currently unemplyed because of the winter; i do roofing and its always real slow for me this time of year. anyways i was looking on craigslist at different job fields and saw what looked like entry lvl jobs in realestate. the requirements as far as i could see for a decent amount ( prob 5) or so was that i have a valid mass real estate salespersons license. i looked into it because it seemed if i had one there was a lot of opportunities around my area. it seemed vey easy to get this license and i was very surprised at the relatively low 24 hr education fee need for licensure about 250.00. the time to get it is quick too. i figd i ask around cause it seems a little to good to be true….In these entry level jobs when i just need the license am i going to be making a base salary or is it only if i sell some properties or something? sorry bout the broad question but i am very very new to this area as ive been doing construction for my entire workin life….im 29 now and interested in pusuing a diff carreer possibility. any advice at all will be GREATLY APPRECIATED like what i can expect to make starting out ,good companies to apply for, bay structure , anything realy thanks alot and very sorry bout the long sdrawn out question s
If you want a job that has security in good times and bad, look at self storage. There are several companies looking for managers and storage consultants in MA right now. I know my company has openings in several parts of the state.
Not the greatest pay, but people always have stuff they need to put somewhere other than the trash.

It would seem that there is some correlation between low taxes and economic and job growth. I am pretty sure that neither economists nor most conservatives are surprised.
Should pro-tax liberals take note, and attempt to see that this lesson can be applied nation wide?
As our economy is becoming less competitive world wide, we have these idiots wanting to raise taxes even more. Even though the rest of the world is cutting taxes!
Beardog: So the fact that we were able to recover from the dotcom bust recession, the 9/11 attacks, and the multiple accounting scandals, and still able to clock a few years of fairly impressive growth means nothing to you?
BTW, I agree that fiscal responsibiltiy was thrown out the window. It would seem that our government operates most sparingly when the branches are split, and each party is trying to keep the other from spending.
Rjay: How exactly will trickle up work, considering that the bottom half of this country already pays ZERO taxes?
It simply boils down to the argument of who can spend our money the best – the government or those who actually earn it.
I think the answer is self evident and it baffles me why there is any debate on this this issue at all.

My girlfriend went to some realestate website to look for a new apartment to rent. However, when she opended up the website, it was logged on with the user name "Ian". It came to her surprise that somebody might be using our internet.
We are using wireless internet through a wireless router.
Are there any other ways that we could make this more secure??
The username lan is fine… It’s probably just they way the have their website setup… There isn’t much possibility of the real estate site hacking your network. Just make sure under port forwarding of your router there isn’t any ports listed that you haven’t put there. You should be more concerned with your neighbors hacking your network. Make sure you use WPA encryption. WEP is way too easy to crack. That’s the most important thing.
If some of your devices don’t support WPA encryption, then hard-wire them in, and don’t open yourself up to the security hole.
