like to know where i can find if a property has ever been listed with a realestate?

There a few ways of doing so:
1) Ask people you know of anything for sale.
2) Go online and search for properties "For Sale By Owner" (FSOB). There are several good sites where owners list their homes/property without the use of real estate agents.
